Software

While I am certainly no Software Engineer in the strictest sense, I enjoy writing programs and getting involved in software. I’ve had the most experience using Arduino (with C++) to drive motors, read encoders, communicate using RF transceivers, and just generally perform digital and analog in/out functions. And I know my way around the ATMega328p datasheet!

Additionally, I’ve spent time writing nodes for Robot Operating System (ROS) to perform functions like identifying frontiers and navigating with A*.

I also dabble in game-making, but I lack in the artistry department, and so I haven’t felt comfortable pushing anything over the ‘just dabbling’ line and publishing something. Hopefully I’ll build up my confidence, or my skills, or just contract out some of the art, and finally publish something!

My greatest interests in the field of software are computer vision and artificial intelligence. I’m sure that many other people are interested in the same, and seeing how they progress dramatically over the next few years.
